Settings

In the settings menu, you will be able to change the chart colours, select or deselect grids and cursors, adjust the fonts used etc.
It is also possible to choose the chart type (Line, Bar or Candle) to suit your preference.
The Time Offset is used to synchronise the chart to your local time.
The server is set to run 2hrs 30mins ahead of UK time.
Users in the UK should set the time offset to -2hrs 30mins in order to have the correct times showing for each bar.
Users in other parts of the world will have to calculate the time difference between themselves and the UK.

Tools
Show DPT - The Daily Profit Target is accessed from the tools menu and projects 3 levels, not all of which will necessarily be seen at once. These levels are potential turning points of the market and may be used as a guide, at which point profits could be taken. The DPT should be projected from the low of the day prior to a signal for targets to the upside, and from the high of the day for targets to the downside.
Hide DPT - removes DPT
Show
DTL - The Daily Trend Lines can be displayed once the DPT has been projected. It shows three trendlines at varying angles. These lines can offer support/resistence to a trend.

Show Previous Hi/Lo - Places two horizontal lines on the chart one at the previous day's high and one at the previous day's low.
Trendlines - A trendline is displayed by clicking on the two points which you want the trendline to join.To draw a channel, three points must be selected. Note: a trendline cannot be deleted until another chart has been selected.
Moving Averages - Click on New. A new panel appears on the right hand side with a choice of moving averages, moving average envelopes and Bollinger bands, simple, weighted or exponential.

Bar detail panel - This box gives the individual bar details. If a bar is selected using the mouse, the value of the open, high, low, close and chosen tool (volume, NSD etc ) is displayed in this panel

Review chart list - This option allows the user to choose which charts will be loaded each time the program starts up.
If for example the currency charts are never looked at, ther is little point in waiting for the database files to load each time the programme is started.

Chart width - Move the slider left and right to increase or decrease the number of bars displayed on the screen.

Reset Chart -
From time to time it may be necesary to reset the chart, if for example the chart display has become corrupted. This button deletes the data in the database for the individual chart which has problems.

Redraw Chart - Refreshes the chart if a display problem occurs.

Last Quote - Displays the last received market quote.

PP - Profit Potential, displays a unique dynamic profit target at which profits can be taken.

Stop - Once the market has traded through the FSO level, the program produces a system stop level which can be used to place a stop loss or a stop to lock in a profit if the move has reached that point. These stops are shown on the chart as a red or green diamond. They can be removed from the chart display by clicking on the figure in the stop box.

Tool buttons(Vol,DI,%R,NSD,SS, FTI) - When one of these tool buttons is selected the chart tool is shown as a separate chart beneath the main chart. The value of whichever tool selected is shown in the bar detail panel.
Each tool button is shown as either red or green. This denotes whether the last completed bar was either greater than or less than the previous bar. In the case of the volume the bar shows red or green depending upon whether it is a positive or negative value.

FSO - First Signal Offset, by clicking in the box showing the FSO value, you will see a horizontal line on the chart representing that value. This is the optimum level at which the new trend is confirmed. For example, if there is a green indicator triangle, the FSO is a level set approximately 3 points above the bar on which the signal formed. This FSO is a variable value and will alter slightly as the system is optimised. When the market reaches the FSO level the trend indicated by the triangle, can be treated as confirmed. This figure is displayed in either red or green depending upon whether it is

Tool Window Scale - By 'right clicking' the right hand scale of the tool window, a box will appear allowing the user to set the percentage margins to the value you prefer.
